On this page, you will find resources to help you better understand how you can get plugged into Hustle PHX as a volunteer.

Volunteer Intake Process

To learn more about volunteering, complete a volunteer application form. Once completed, a member of the Hustle PHX staff will reach out to schedule a new volunteer interview.
INTERVIEW
30 MINUTE CALL
The purpose of this conversation is for us to get to know you, share more about Hustle PHX volunteer opportunities, and discover where there’s a match with your gifts and passions.
ONBOARD/TRAIN
2-3 HOURS
Before volunteering, volunteers will attend a Hustle PHX Informational meeting (available virtual monthly) to understand the breadth and depth of our mission and the communities we serve. Additional training may be required.

Hustle 101 Facilitator
Hustle PHX 101 facilitators will share the responsibility with other volunteer facilitators to guide a cohort of entrepreneurs through the ideation phase of their businesses through presenting prepared content and facilitating group discussions over the course of 12 weeks.
YEP 101 Facilitator
Hustle PHX Youth Entrepreneurship Program facilitators will share the responsibility with other volunteer facilitators to guide a cohort of entrepreneurs through the ideation phase of their businesses through presenting prepared content and facilitating group discussions over the course of 13 weeks.
Hustle 101 Virtual Workshop Producer
The Virtual Workshop Producer provides support to the Hustle PHX volunteer facilitator team in the delivering of entrepreneur curriculum using an online training/meeting platform.
Hustle Entrepreneur Support
Act as a support to the entrepreneurs during their participation in Hustle PHX weekly workshops.
Hustle 101 Guest Speaker
Most weeks during the Hustle PHX 101 curriculum, a volunteer guest speaker will visit to share their experiences and expertise with the program participants to help the participants better understand the course concepts and material. To accomplish these goals, the lead volunteer facilitator will perform a prepared Q&A with the guest speaker.
YEP 101 Guest Speaker
Most weeks during the Hustle PHX Youth Entrepreneurship Program 101 curriculum, a volunteer guest speaker will visit to share their experiences and expertise with the program participants to help the participants better understand the course concepts and material. To accomplish these goals, the lead volunteer facilitator will perform a prepared Q&A with the guest speaker.
Hustle Entrepreneur Mentor
Mentor an entrepreneur in our 202 program providing encouragement, advice, and being a thinking partner over the course of 18 weeks.
Hustle 202 Workshop Mentor
Workshop mentors pop into a specific week’s workshop to join in the breakout groups where entrepreneurs and facilitators are learning a specific business concept, having group discussions, and completing an application activity.
Hustle Entrepreneur Business Coach
Have expertise or passion in a specific area of business and don’t have enough time to commit to mentoring? Business Coaches provide ad hoc 1-hour coaching/consultant to entrepreneurs who are looking for more knowledge and insight into areas where you are a subject matter expert.
Hustle 202 Guest Speaker
The Hustle PHX 202 program is designed to help validate our entrepreneurs’ business concepts. Each week, the entrepreneurs apply what they’re learning – in areas of operations, marketing, finance, and sales – back to their businesses. The 202 Guest Speaker facilitates prepared curriculum on a specific topic on a one-time basis providing personal experience and insight into that subject matter.
Hustle 202 Workshop Facilitator
Over the course of 18 weeks, Hustle PHX 202 Workshop Facilitators will share the responsibility with other volunteer facilitators to guide a cohort of entrepreneurs through the validation phase of their businesses by managing a weekly workshop agenda and facilitating breakout small group discussions based on the workshop’s topic.
