Vision: Some of the best natural entrepreneurs in the United States are in underserved urban communities. They are called hustlers – visionary risk-takers who seize the opportunity to move product and turn a profit. These Hustlers have the God-given skills, attributes, and talents of an entrepreneur, but they lack key resources needed to create sustainable businesses that benefit the broader community.

At Hustle, we believe that by equipping, empowering, and activating entrepreneurs in urban, inner-city communities across the US with the intellectual, social, and financial capital to start businesses that glorify God and serve their neighbor. We can uniquely change the spiritual, relational, and economic conditions of inner-city communities throughout the United States.

Mission: Hustle PHX exists to empower men and women in inner-city/urban communities with the intellectual, social, and financial capital to start and grow businesses that glorify God and serve their neighbors.

About Hustle Leadership

Oye Waddell is the CEO & Founder Hustle PHX. Waddell grew up in inner-city Los Angeles and has a long track record in urban education and entrepreneurship. He attended the University of Washington on a full athletic scholarship to play football. He later earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California, and a Master of Education from Arizona State University. He is the founder of Gameplan International and serves as a pastor at New City Church in downtown Phoenix.

Our Guiding Operating Principles

Humility

Be Humble. God has uniquely blessed each person with certain gifts and abilities to contribute to His kingdom. Humility is the understanding that our God given abilities are to be of service to others and not for the exclusive benefit of ourselves.

Unstoppable

Being Unstoppable is the total reliance on God’s grace and understanding that, despite the outcome of the situation, you have the ability to persevere, persist, and work hard through any circumstance in your life or business.

Service

As a reflection of Christ, we seek to serve God and serve our neighbors by putting their needs before our own.

Team

Together Everyone Achieves More. We believe in being unified as a team. Everyone contributes their ideas, skills, gifts, and talents to create a dynamic team which takes ownership of the organization.

The journey of life is a constant learning experience. We value learning:

Restoration
