Hustle PHX Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) 101 is a 14-lesson course designed to empower youth by providing them with the essential skills to succeed in the business world.
Through YEP 101, youth will discover their true identity, unlock their passions, and create a roadmap to transform their dreams into reality and become a successful entrepreneur!

About Y.E.P.
In previous years, Hustle PHX has created partnerships with organizations including Neighborhood Ministries, AZ Reach, and New Culture AZ, organizations who specialize in working with underserved youth. Hustle PHX’s Y.E.P. has also partnered with Maricopa County Regional School District, and Adobe Mountain School, two juvenile detention facilities here in Arizona.

What is the Hustle PHX Y.E.P. 101 Program?
The Youth Entrepreneurship Program (Y.E.P. 101) is a 14-week business training experience that teaches young people how to develop entrepreneurial skills, gain financial awareness, and build a strong sense of purpose through business development.
Who is eligible to join the program?
The program is open to youth and young adults ages 16 to 24 in the Greater Phoenix area, including justice-impacted youth and those connected to DCS, probation, reentry, or diversion programs.
What kind of support does the program offer?
Participants receive mentorship, financial literacy training, leadership development, and guidance from business professionals who volunteer their time to support the next generation of entrepreneurs.
How long is the program and how often does it meet?
Y.E.P. 101 runs for 14 weeks, with classes held once a week in the evening for two hours. Each session focuses on a key business or personal development topic.
What will participants learn throughout the program?
Youth will learn business foundations, financial decision-making, marketing, sales, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, along with how to identify and address community challenges through entrepreneurship.
What makes Y.E.P. 101 unique?
The program combines practical business training with personal growth. It helps youth connect their skills, experiences, and ideas to build something that can positively impact their communities.
What is the cost to participate?
There is no cost. The program is completely free, funded by community partners and donors who believe in creating equitable opportunities for youth in Phoenix.
What happens after completing Y.E.P. 101?
Graduates gain access to Hustle PHX’s advanced Y.E.P. 202 program, which focuses on sales, market research, and business validation. They also receive continued mentorship and networking opportunities.
Are there opportunities for participants to earn funding or recognition?
Yes. Participants who complete the program and present their business ideas may qualify for micro-grants, internships, or additional business development resources through Hustle PHX and its partners.
